Home » About Free a Girl

Free a Girl rescues children across the world from sexual exploitation. Over the past eleven years, we’ve helped to rescue more than 4,500 girls. In addition to the rescues, we work hard on prevention, tackling impunity, lobbying and advocacy, and on the rehabilitation and reintegration of the girls. Free a Girl works with fourteen partner organizations in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Laos, Iraq, Brazil and the Netherlands.

Free a Girl was founded in 2008 by Evelien Hölsken, Roelof van Laar, Arjan Erkel and Yolanthe Cabau. You can read more about the organization here.
